Trent is member of the firm’s commercial property and projects team. He has gained a broad range of experience in commercial and property law matters through working closely with ASX listed institutions, large scale property developers, property funds managers and private investment services companies.

Trent regularly advises clients on the full range of legal issues in real estate transactions. As a result, he has a solid grounding in all types of projects including residential, mixed-use facilities, commercial offices, industrial sites, licensed premises and retail shops. Some of Trent’s specific areas of recent work undertaken or currently being undertaken include:

Advising on contracts in relation to community title structures including staged developments.
Advising on portfolio acquisition and divestment of commercial and industrial flat land and buildings.
Subdivision and strata titling for off the plan residential unit development.
Advising on build contracts and other general construction focused contractual matters such as building covenants and design regulations.
Conducting extensive due diligence investigations and reporting.
Commercial and retail leasing and drafting supplementary transactional documentation.
Preparation of various business governance agreements including development agreements and joint venture agreements
Assisting with dispute resolution advice including retail lease disputes.
Assisting with pre-project structuring arrangements and advising on ancillary taxation implications.

Trent holds a Bachelor of Laws from the Queensland University of Technology. Trent also graduated with Distinction from his Bachelor of Business majoring in International Business with a sub-major in Business Management.
