Rob’s specialist areas of expertise are in property development (flat land subdivision and community titles scheme developments) and private treaty mergers and acquisitions.

Rob also manages our commercial property and real estate practice and has overall responsibility for our booming residential and commercial conveyancing team which, with the assistance of two paralegals, is transacting some 70 commercial and residential deals per month.

He brings a proactive “can-do” attitude to every matter he is involved in and has earned the trust and confidence of a growing list of impressive business people and corporations.

Some specific areas of recent work undertaken or currently being undertaken by Rob include:

Real Estate:

  • Advising our client in relation to the development of a master planned community involving over 300 residential lots, commercial and residential community titles schemes and large scale commercial, shopping centre and hotel lots;
  • advising a number of developers in relation to numerous broad acre land subdivisions from Rockhampton to the Gold Coast;
  • Acting for developers of single and multi-stage community titles scheme developments ranging from 4 to 90 lots, including the sale and negotiation of management rights, together with the drafting and negotiation of infrastructure agreements with local authorities and neighbouring sites;
  • Acting for vendors and purchasers of significant commercial real estate assets including strata titled shopping centres and large industrial sites.

Mergers and Acquisitions

Rob has been principally responsible for the introduction and management of over $100 million (in transaction value) worth of private treaty merger and acquisition transactions.  Rob has substantial experience in acting, in particular, for vendors in transactions typically ranging in value from $1 million to $50 million in industries as diverse as mining services, manufacturing, professional services, electrical and civil contracting, information technology, tourism and leisure assets, group training and insurance.

Rob considers that he, like his clients, is in business and that this approach is reflected in the pragmatic and commercial legal advice he provides.
